Alfinah 's abilities as a modern creative designer and his appreciation of classical architecture and detail, have allowed him to create interior spaces that evoke clean simplicity with a comfortable balance of proportion and scale.Alfinah is a great admirer of the craft of furniture design, he will often design individual pieces for clients as 'finishing touches' to interior schemes, commissioning bespoke pieces to his interior design.John says 'I have always admired Georgian architecture for its symmetry and formulism. The way buildings were designed to minimize structure and allow natural light into rooms.'John says 'I always seek out items that are built-to-last, I'm not a fan of short-term design, created as a response to passing trends. I encourage designers to work with modern technologies and techniques to produce timeless interiors that often take influences from classical design periods, and always try to gain a sense of the changes a building's interior requires for the better.' Industry Recognition Alfinah was invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, is a Member of the Chartered Society of Designers and an active member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID). Recognized as one of the world's leading interior designers on three occasions in the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, the practice's work has been featured in publications, books and is regularly covered by the design press.Acknowledged as one of the best interior design businesses in the UK, John Evans was named as one of the top 100 leading Interior designers in the UK by Conde Nast's House and Garden magazineJohn has recently been involved in providing advice to a BIID working committee whose task is to recommend and develop professional membership of the Institute.
